DALLAS — A 22-year-old man died after he was shot along Interstate 35E in Dallas over the weekend, police said Tuesday.
Elian Murrugarra was identified as the victim, according to a police news release.

As Murrugarra and the driver pulled over, a suspect shot into their vehicle, striking Murrugarra, police said. Police did not say if the suspected shooter was in the vehicle Murrugarra's car crashed into, or if the shooter was in another vehicle.
Murrugarra was taken to a hospital in critical condition. He died Monday, police said.
