WEATHERFORD, Texas — A 20-year-old man and 19-year-old woman were killed in a motorcycle crash during a chase in Parker County on Thursday night, officials said.
Ian Ellis and Mya Jimenez were identified as the two people who died in the crash, according to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety, which was the agency involved in the chase.
The release said Ellis and Jimenez were riding the motorcycle and fleeing from authorities on the Interstate 20 service road as they approached Tin Top Road. The motorcycle, which was driven by Ellis, went through a stop sign and hit another vehicle, according to the release.
The crash caused Ellis and Jimenez "to vault forward," the release said. Both Ellis and Jimenez died as a result of the crash.
