Turn around, don't drown! Heavy rain moving into the DFW area is causing some flooded spots on roadways and neighborhoods Wednesday morning.

Fort Worth Fire Department posted a tweet, urging drivers to use caution as there are reports of water rushing onto roads. The city started setting up barricades to prevent drivers from entering certain roads. Tarrant County is under a Flood Advisory until 12 p.m. Wednesday.

Drivers experienced a wet and messy commute Wednesday, having to drive through inches of water. Residents witnessed trash cans floating in neighborhood streets.

The second round of storms traveled through the DFW area by 8 a.m., bringing bouts of heavy rain and lightning. The severe threat of storms are unlikely, but localized flooding is possible. It's expected to move out of the area by midday Wednesday.

Widespread showers and storms move east of the DFW area into eastern parts of North Texas.

A car was stuck in high water on Berry Street near Texas Christian University campus. The road has closed down.

First responders have been called to the scene on at least a dozen reports of high water rescues in the southern parts of Fort Worth. Officials said the heavy rain has made for dangerous driving conditions, urging drivers to avoid driving in high water.
