The "Fitter Together" Facebook group is wrapping up the F45 challenge.
The group is a number of people who are interested in bettering their lifestyle through a fitness journey and fostering healthy eating habits. The group was assembled by WFAA's health and wellness reporter, Sonia Azad, and has taken off since its creation.
With 600+ members and counting, members post before and after photos, share healthy meal ideas and encourage each other that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
Azad has introduced workout challenges in the group, beginning with the first one that took place in April. This Orange Theory challenge followed the lives of four, very different individuals from start to finish of their 12-week challenge.
Now we move on to an eight-week challenge with F45 and follow four more people on the road to their health goals.
"F" stands for functional training and the 45 stands for the total time of each class. F45 studios are located all over the world and offer a 45 minute High-Intensity, Circuit Training workout class. There are 27 different 45 minute workouts, so you get a variety of exercises every time you attend a class. Functional training helps build and sculpt functional muscles.
Typically you'll be doing a variety of lifting, squatting, jumping, twisting, pulling, pushing, punching, kicking, rowing, biking – all things you do in your everyday life.
