Things to do in North Texas this weekend: Catch a Rangers game, watch the Cowboys, go to a concert

DALLAS — The temperatures will cool down a bit and there will be plenty to do around North Texas this weekend. There's something for everyone, from concerts to Rangers or Cowboys games, free access to local museums and more.

Friday, Sept. 6

Silent Disco at Klyde Warren Park (Dallas)

Dress up in your favorite neon gear and head to Klyde Warren Park for the first silent disco of the season to dance under the stars. Headphones are provided and there are plenty of options for everyone's musical tastes. The headphones will have three stations with music (top hits, throwbacks, and EDM/dance) from DJ Richy Smart and DJ Bishiclet. The first 100 tickets also include a Mambo Taxi from Mi Cocina in their lounge

Saturday, Sept. 7

The Smokeout Fest at Southfork Ranch (Parker)

The famous Southfork Ranch in Parker is known for hosting the TV show "Dallas," but this weekend the venue will serve as host of a barbecue and country music festival. The event will feature live music from Paul Cauthen, Gary Allan, Ryder Grimes and a surprise guest. There will also be a barbecue competition, with pitmasters competing for more than $15,000 in prizes. Doors open at 2 p.m.

Bush Greatest Hits Tour at Dos Equis Pavilion (Dallas)

The Grammy-nominated, multi-Platinum English alt-rock band is bringing their greatest hits tour to Dallas. The band -- comprised of frontman Gavin Rossdale, Chris Traynor on guitar, and Nik Hughes on drums -- are known for hits including "Glycerine" "Comedown" "Machinehead" and more. The show will begin at Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas at 6 p.m
