BURNET, Texas — There’s going to be a total eclipse visible deep in the heart of Texas in April 2024.
During the once-in-a-lifetime event, a total vibe will also be created at the Texas Eclipse Festival with headlining performances and various art, space and technology attractions.
It will be held from April 5-9 at the Reveille Peak Ranch in Burnet, northwest of Austin. That's within the path of solar totality, where the moon will obscure the sun for about four minutes.
The eclipse is expected to be visible in the North Texas area too.
Festival promoters predict tens of thousands of attendees for three days of music, art installations, camping, hiking and food leading up to the actual eclipse.
Music acts will include DJs, producers, multi-instrumentalists, bands, singers, and more. Some artists include Bob Moses, LP Giobbi, CloZee, Dirtwire, LSDream, Lee Burridge, the Desert Hearts crew, Tycho, Zeds Dead and The Disco Biscuits, among others.
Six festival stage areas titled Earth, Sky, Moon, Sun, Lonestar and Eclipse will be brought to life by a crew of event producers from around the world to hold performers. Festivalgoers will also be able to experience immersible art installations, science workshops, along with both kids and family education areas.
