DALLAS — Dallas-raised singer and guitarist Annie Clark – better known as St. Vincent – is releasing a Spanish-language version of her seventh album “All Born Screaming.”

The 10-song album “Todos Nacen Gritando” will be released Nov. 15, but the first single “Hombre Roto,” the Spanish-language version of the song “Broken Man,” is out now.

“The origins of Todos Nacen Gritando can be traced back to some of the most memorable shows I’ve ever played, in Mexico, South America and recently Primavera Barcelona in 2023. Though separated by time and geography, and across a diverse range of settings and venues, these crowds were united in their passion—singing every word to every song in perfect English,” Clark said. “Eventually, I asked myself: If they can sing along in a second or third language, why can’t I meet them halfway?”

Clark, 41, said she began working with her friend and collaborator Alan Del Rio Ortiz to translate and re-work lyrics.

“After much rewriting and re-singing every vocal track on the album, the result is ‘Todos Nacen Gritando,’ equal parts labor of love and tribute to the people who inspired it,” Clark said.

The original album is the three-time Grammy winner’s first entirely self-produced record, mixed by Cian Riordan. “All Born Screaming” features contributions from the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Josh Freese, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnson, Stella Mozgawa, Rachel Eckroth, Mark Giuliana and David Ralicke.

Clark won her first Grammy in 2014 for Best Alternative Music Album for St. Vincent. Her first break into the top 20 on the Billboard charts came with her third album, 2011’s “Strange Mercy,” which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200.

Clark was born in Tulsa and raised in Dallas. She made her first guitar out of rubber bands at the age of 5, and debuted a guitar with Ernie Ball Music Man in 2016.
