ADDISON, Texas — About 500,000 people will visit Addison for Kaboom Town tonight and if you’re headed through Addison today, there are some road closures to be aware of.
The popular Independence Day festivities from 5 p.m.-11 p.m. include the Addison Airport Airshow, music and entertainment, food, carnival rides and games, and more, ending with the fireworks display in Addison Circle Park.
Here’s what to know about which roads are closed for the event and when they’re expected to reopen:
- Festival Way from Addison Road to Quorum Drive – expected to reopen before 5 p.m. Friday.
- Addison Circle Drive from Addison Road to Witt Place – expected to reopen before 9 a.m. Friday.
- McEntire Place from Quorum Drive to Lewis Place – expected to reopen by 1 a.m. Thursday.
- Quorum Drive from Arapaho Road to Morris Avenue -- expected to reopen by 1 a.m. Thursday.
- Spectrum Drive from Arapaho Road to the railroad tracks – expected to reopen by midnight.
- Arapaho Bridge from Addison Road to Surveyor Boulevard will close at noon and is expected to reopen by 10:30 p.m. tonight after the fireworks.
- Lindbergh Drive will close at 6 p.m. and reopen by 10:30 p.m. after the fireworks.
