DESOTO, Texas — The Keith Lee effect continues in Dallas, months after his food tour stop in February.
Lee, a former MMA fighter turned TikTok-famous food critic with more than 16 million followers stopped in Dallas-Fort Worth for a food tour in late January-early February.
Now, one of the restaurants he visited, Brunchaholics in DeSoto, is featured in a new digital series in partnership with Microsoft, “The Reheat.” In the series, Lee revisits three restaurants he’d previously reviewed, including Pretty Soul Kitchen in Las Vegas, Brunchaholics, and Monday in New Orleans. The first episode premiered June 10.
“I’m bringing back some of our favorite spots from around the country and partnering with Microsoft to show them how to continue to grow their business with some help from Microsoft’s AI tool Copilot,” Lee says in the trailer for the series.
“With new ratings from Keith, Copilot and other AI-powered tools, the episodes highlight some of the ups and downs that come with a surge in popularity,” a description of the series on Microsoft’s website reads.
During his initial visit to Brunchaholics, his eighth stop in North Texas, Lee reviewed a catfish basket and chicken and catfish soul food burritos.
The Lee couple liked the catfish burrito slightly more than the chicken, but both versions got high marks.
"The greens [are], like, vinegar greens... The mac and cheese is creamy... The jalapeño tortillas [does have] a spice, but it's not a crazy spice," Keith said.
