And the people behind Fan Expo Dallas -- the biggest and baddest local affair along these lines -- know this better than pretty much anyone.
That's why, in addition to hosting that annual early-summer deal, those organizers also host the Dallas Fan Festival each fall.
The separate offerings are similar, for sure, with both featuring a variety of vendors, panels, meet-and-greets, autograph sessions and more.
But can there ever really be too much of a good thing?
Not for the ever-creative local cosplaying set.
As ever, that community showed up in big numbers to this past weekend's three-day Dallas Fan Festival offering from at the spaceship-like Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.
And, as is regularly the case at these cons, WFAA's Alan Tijerina was on hand to capture photos of the most exciting characters on the scene over the course of the event's run from October 18 through October 20.
