DALLAS — The city of Dallas is offering up to $8,000 for individual artists to fund their arts and cultural projects with the launch of their ArtsActivate 2025 program.
ArtsActivate is a funding program created by the city's Office of Arts and Culture with the goal of creating an equitable, thriving arts environment for all Dallas artists and residents, according to a press release.
The first round of applications for the funding program opens at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, and closes on July 29.
First round applicants will be notified of their funding status this year on Sept. 5 and the earliest project start date will be Oct. 14.
There will be two other rounds of applications accepted this fiscal year, which ends on Sept. 25, 2025.
Artist collectives, educational institutions and other eligible nonprofit organizations are encouraged to apply for funding. Any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that apply can receive up to $16,000 based on revenue size.
The city will offer information sessions and open office hours both in-person and over Zoom for interested applicants before the submission deadline.
The program is a continuation of the Dallas Cultural Plan 2018 which was implemented for a collective vision for the future of Dallas arts and culture. ArtsActivate began in 2020 and combines and replaces all previous city of Dallas project-based funding programs.
