FORT WORTH, Texas — A construction company that has provided services to several North Texas school districts has been selected to renovate multiple Crowley ISD campus buildings and construct a brand-new middle school for the district.
In a joint venture with GCC Enterprises, Dallas-based Balfour Beatty was selected to provide $100 million in renovations to North Crowley High School and North Crowley’s 9th Grade Center.
Balfour Beatty said the renovations include cafeteria expansion, a brand-new courtyard, classroom flooring replacement, athletic additions, library refresh and more.
The company said that VLK Architects is leading the design efforts of each upgrade.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by December 2026, Balfour Beatty said in a news release.
“Through our extensive K-12 market expertise and collaboration with our joint venture partners, Balfour Beatty looks forward to delivering vital renovations and additions to these school campuses and providing enhanced learning spaces for Crowley ISD students, faculty and staff, said Damon Maldonado, Balfour Beatty vice president in North Texas.
Also on the horizon is a brand-new middle school for Crowley ISD students. This time, Balfour Beatty will partner with Alpha and Omega Industries to construct the $80 million middle school.
This project, which is expected to begin in April 2025, will accommodate about 1,100 students, the company said.
