D/FW Airport to test out food delivery service

With long lines and thousands of travelers, D/FW Airport has rolled out new technology to help make life a bit easier and more convenient. The airport partnered with the food delivery service Grab and launched three kiosks in Terminal C, where you can have food delivered to you.

Ever walked into the airport famished but short on time?

Traveling can be a stressful venture, but a pilot program at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport may ease some of that pain.

The airport rolled out new technology this week with convenience as its goal.

Partnering with a food delivery service called Grab, D/FW Airport launched three kiosks in Terminal C at gates C6, C19 and C35. Travelers can order and pay for their food at the kiosks, which then gives them the option to either pick up the food at the restaurant themselves or have it delivered to the kiosk.

Eight restaurants are participating in the pilot program that could expand to other terminals if successful.

Travelers can also use the Grab app to pre-order meals, which they can pick up at the selected restaurant in an area marked with a green Mobile Ordering sign.
