DALLAS -- A handful of police officers were at the home of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price Friday night after someone broke into the residence and left it ransacked.

According to Vincent Hall, one of Price's assistants, told WFAA that the break-in happened earlier this Friday afternoon when Price wasn't home.

He wouldn't disclose if anything valuable was taken, but told WFAA that it was apparent that someone forcibly entered several doors at the home.

Hall also said that it appeared someone was looking through things.

Price was at the home when WFAA arrived but didn't want to do an interview.

WFAA will post more about this story as it develops.
