GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A 44-year-old woman has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of a mother and daughter in Grand Prairie.
The woman, Jillian Johnson, was found guilty of capital murder in the deaths of Gloria Jean Prince, 71, and Gloria Maria Booker, 53.
Police said Prince was Booker's mother.
Officials said Johnson reportedly became angry after Booker told her to move out due to her behavior and then stabbed the two women to death in October 2020.
Booker's daughter, Tye Jones, told Johnson in a victim impact statement following her conviction that she had shattered her family's life.
"You stabbed two of the most important people in my life," Jones told Johnson in tears.
Jones said she relies on God to give her strength to make it through every day without her mother, who she called her best friend.
She also said neither her mother nor grandmother deserved to die how they did.
