ENNIS, Texas — Four people were arrested after a woman was robbed Wednesday morning at the Bucee's in Ennis, according to a statement from the Ennis Police Department.
Officers responded to the store just after 8 a.m. Wednesday and found a woman who had been robbed of her purse by four men with a weapon. Officers were able to determine the suspects were in a white Ford truck and quickly shared that information with surrounding agencies, the statement said.
After speaking with the victim, Ennis officers were able to get an "electronic signal" of the truck's location. That information was also shared with surrounding departments. Officers with the Ferris and Wilmer police departments found the vehicle and a pursuit began with the suspects, the statement said. The pursuit ended in Dallas where all four suspects, one adult and three children, were arrested.
All of the suspects are from Oklahoma, officials said.
"We ask that everyone keep the victim in their thoughts and prayers as she recovers from the traumatic event that took place," the statement from Ennis police said.
Officers noted the quick response was due to witnesses calling in the crime.
"We want to remind everyone, 'If you see something, say something!" the statement said.
Officers did not disclose what kind of weapon the men had and no other information was given. The Ennis Police Department is investigating the crime.
