CEDAR HILL, Texas — A woman was fatally shot Tuesday in Cedar Hill, police say.
Officers responded to a shooting call at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Bailey Drive after they say multiple callers reported hearing gunshots in the area.
Police say they found a woman in the home with multiple gunshot wounds, and she was taken to a local hospital, where she died.
There were several others in the home at the time, but no one else was injured, police say.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
Cedar Hill City Councilmember Chad McCurdy said in a statement that “officers are doing everything they can to locate the suspect and we as a city will be doing everything we can to bring peace back to that neighborhood.”
