ELLIS COUNTY, Texas — A woman has been arrested days after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle on FM 1182 in Ellis County.
The suspect, 26-year-old Sandra Maritza Molina, was charged with failure to stop and render aid, involving death, a second-degree felony, officials say.
At about 6:46 p.m. on Feb. 1, 36-year-old Alonzo Burrows Jr. of Ennis was walking down the northeast lane of traffic on FM 1182 when the vehicle struck and killed him, police said.
Investigators found that a silver 2006 Toyota Sienna driven by Molina struck and killed Burrows, police detailed. Molina then reportedly fled the scene and didn't report the incident.
