FORT WORTH -- New details are emerging about the shooting death of a popular drag queen in Fort Worth.
Fayaka Dunbar, Jr., 26, is charged with capital murder in the death of Jason Bradley. He went as Bianca Davenport Starr and was a staple of Fort Worth's drag performing scene.
An arrest warrant for Dunbar reveals that Bradley's roommate Eric Watson, also a drag performer, met Dunbar on the dating app Plenty of Fish on Dec. 8.
Watson told police that he communicated back and forth with Dunbar, who called himself "Chris," before making plans to meet up at Watson's home on Rogers Avenue for a paid sexual favor.
The warrant states that after Watson performed the favor and was paid $200, Dunbar took out a gun and demanded the money back. He then shot Watson.
When Bradley came to see what was going on, he was also shot by the suspect, the warrant states.
A third roommate wasn't injured and called 911 after Dunbar left the house.
Bradley was pronounced dead at the scene, the warrant reveals.
Watson was taken to the hospital where he is still recovering. He gave police a description of Dunbar and pointed them to his cell phone in his bedroom that was used to communicate with the suspect. There was also DNA found in the room leading police to Dunbar.
Dunbar is currently in the Mansfield jail on a $100,000 bond.
