TARRANT COUNTY, Texas — Three suspects are in custody, and one is wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery that resulted in serious injuries for a victim in Fort Worth, officials say.

The Fort Worth Police Department (FWDP) said after two of the suspects were involved in a drive-by shooting in North Richland Hills, where an 8-year-old girl was injured.

Officials said 18-year-old Ethan Michael Nordyke, 21-year-old Seth Caleb Calvert and 22-year-old Jet Mai Thach are all in custody facing several charges; 26-year-old Axel Anwar Zamora is currently a fugitive.

According to Fort Worth police, on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, a victim was walking with a friend on Morton Street around 1:44 a.m. when he was approached by a large group of men. The men reportedly made comments to the victim and his friend and then hit the victim from behind.

Police said after the victim was knocked to the ground, the victim was beaten by the suspects. The friend was able to escape.

Police said the victim’s backpack was taken during the assault, and the victim suffered fractures and serious facial injuries.

Surveillance captured photos of some of the suspects before they fled the scene.

After several tips from the community, FWPD identified two suspects.

In January 2023, FWPD said they were contacted by the North Richland Hills Police Department in which they stated they also had identified two suspects who were also involved in a drive-by shooting where an 8-year-old girl had been shot on Dec. 7, 2022.

WFAA spoke with the 8-year-old victim and her family on Dec. 8. A bullet grazed the back of the victim’s neck. She was treated and recovered at home.

“It’s just a scary moment,” the 8-year-old’s sister Alondra Resendiz said. “You don’t even want to step in your own house, your own safe place because you just never know what if they come back.”

North Richland Hills PD said one of two of those suspects, identified as Nordyke, was arrested on Dec. 20 and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with serious bodily injury in connection with the drive-by.

On Jan. 19, North Richland Hills police and FWPD detectives went to the second suspect, Calvert’s home. Police said when Calvert refused to surrender, a standoff began and lasted for several hours. The SWAT team entered Calvert’s home and found him hiding in a crawl space. He was then taken into custody.

On Jan. 26, officials said Thach was arrested by Arlington police officers after a traffic stop.

FWPD said Calvert and Nordyke face several charges for both the drive-by shooting and the aggravated robbery. Thach has been charged with aggravated robbery causing serious bodily injury.

Police are asking anyone with information concerning Zamora’s whereabouts and possibly a fifth suspect (pictured below) who has not been identified, to call them at 817-392-4469.
