PILOT POINT -- One person is dead and three people were injured in a chaotic and violent crime scene Wednesday night in Pilot Point.
Around 8:45 p.m., police say a man drove into the driveway of a residence on the 300 block of South Church Street and fatally shot a woman.
He crashed into two vehicles in the driveway before firing the single gunshot.
The woman’s mother and father, ages 69 and 83 respectively, were injured. Her mother was injured when the suspect rammed into the SUV and sedan in the driveway.
The suspect assaulted the woman’s father before shooting himself, police said.
Investigators said the incident “appears to be the result of a domestic dispute.”
The four people were taken to local hospitals. The suspect was critically injured by the self-inflicted gunshot, police said.
Conditions of the mother and father were not made available.
Denton County investigators and the Texas Rangers were requested to the scene to assist Pilot Point police.
