UPDATE 6/30/16: The Fort Worth Fire Department's Arson Investigation Unit has identified a juvenile suspect in the fire and vandalism at Meadow Creek Elementary School earlier this week, they announced Thursday.
On Thursday, the fire department credited Crowley ISD and the public for their quick responses to assist in identifying the suspect. They expect to file arson and burglary charges soon.
Investigators received "numerous" calls from citizens who recognized the suspect, the fire department said in a statement. They will not identify the suspect publicly because he is a minor.

FORT WORTH -- Police are looking for a suspect they say vandalized Meadow Creek Elementary School in Fort Worth and set fire to a kindergarten classroom earlier this week.
Police say around 3:50 a.m. Monday, the suspect entered the Crowley ISD school, located in the 2800 block of Country Creek Lane, and set fire to books and other materials in the classroom. The fire was put out by the building's sprinkler system, but the smoke and water "caused significant damage to the classroom and surrounding rooms," the Fort Worth fire department said in a release.
The fire department released a photo and video of the suspect on Tuesday.
