DALLAS — The Dallas Police Department announced that a second suspect has been charged with capital murder for the shooting death of 30-year-old Deleon Williams back on Sept. 30, 2023.
The second suspect, identified as 33-year-old Quanticus Rucker, is currently at the Richmond Correctional Institution in Hoffman, North Carolina on separate charges, police say.
According to police, on Sept. 30, 2023, officers with Dallas PD responded to the 900 block of Medalist Drive to the report of a shooting.
Police say when officers arrived, they found a woman shot. She had left the scene to find help. Officers then found a man tied up, yelling for help, police say Additionally, officers found Williams, who had also been tied up -- and shot.
According to police, Williams died at the scene.
Police say the woman was taken to the hospital and the other man who was tied up was not injured.
Prior to Rucker's capital murder warrant, 28-year-old Kayla Griffin was found and arrested on Oct. 3, 2023, in Bloomfield, New Mexico, for capital murder, according to police.
