ROANOKE, Texas — A suspect was arrested after police say the man led them on a pursuit Friday morning in Denton County.

According to the Roanoke Police Department, around 11 a.m. they were responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Morningside Drive. Police believed the vehicle was involved with catalytic converter thefts in the metroplex.

When a Roanoke officer attempted to pull the driver over, police said he refused and sped off northbound on US HWY-377. The suspect vehicle then turned eastbound onto SH-114, police said.

The pursuit continued into the town of Westlake where the pursuing officer was involved in a crash with an uninvolved vehicle. The officer and the driver of the uninvolved vehicle were treated by medics and released at the scene.

Police said the suspect was not involved in the accident and was later taken into custody by the Grapevine Police Department.

The suspect's identity was not immediately released. Police said the investigation into potential charges remains ongoing.
