MESQUITE, Texas — A student at John Horn High School in Mesquite ISD was arrested after school resource officers found a gun in his vehicle on campus, police say.
An anonymous tip prompted a search that led officials to find the firearm in the student’s vehicle on the campus in the 3300 block of E. Cartwright Road in Mesquite, police say. The student was subsequently arrested on a complaint of unlawfully carrying a weapon in a prohibited place.
The student was not identified and no additional details were immediately available.
