SOUTHLAKE, Texas — A Southlake woman was sentenced in a case where she used over $1 million to buy trips, TikTok coins, and exclusive tickets to a Dallas Mavericks game.

Staci Blackmon pleaded guilty to two charges of Theft Over $300,000 and was sentenced to 35 years in prison for each, according to Assistant D.A. Lori Varnell.

According to Varnell, Blackmon stole a total of $1.2 million from her employer over the course of a couple years, starting in 2020.

Varnell says Blackmon used that money to buy TikTok coins, an in-app currency that can be used during TikTok live streams. Blackmon also spent the money on lavish trips, furniture and even a suite at a Dallas Mavericks game.
