SMU police issue arrest warrants after student allegedly assaulted in dorm room

DALLAS — SMU police say they’ve issued arrest warrants for two people after a student reported being assaulted in their room on campus Friday.

SMU police say a student reported he was assaulted in his room in the Ware Residential Commons around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

The student told police he was assaulted by three unknown males in his room, according to campus police.

The student told police he believes he was targeted in retaliation for a previous incident.

Later Friday evening, SMU police reported they’d identified two people suspected of being involved in the incident and that they’d issued arrest warrants. No other information was immediately available.
