HOUSTON — A Houston rapper has been sentenced to life in prison for sex trafficking three minors and an adult, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Some of 29-year-old Jacorey Nathaniel Anderson's, also known as Slando Kareem, victims were only 15 years old. Anderson reportedly lured some of his victims to the Austin area from Houston through social media and texts before forcing them into prostitution.

The victims were told to walk an area known for prostitution and to post commercial sex ads online. Some of the victims escaped within a day, but one of them stayed with Anderson for multiple weeks. He reportedly starved his victims and gave them drugs.

One of the victims told the court Anderson took away her childhood.

"Unfortunately, for several young girls, he breathed life into his poorly crafted lyrics," said U.S. Attorney Alamdar S. Hamdani. "Providing drugs, starving and trafficking them for his own financial gain."

In one of his music videos, one of the victim's hands and feet can be seen bound while her mouth is covered by duct tape. He's also seen physically assaulting the woman, hitting and choking her multiple times.

Anderson was ultimately arrested in the Dallas area for attempting to traffic who he thought was a minor but was an undercover officer. His phone was taken as a part of the arrest, allowing investigators to identify his victims.

“The victims this defendant abused can now begin their process of healing with this criminal behind bars for the remainder of his life," said Homeland Security Investigations Dallas acting Special Agent in Charge Travis Pickard.

A co-conspirator, Lelonnie Stephon Jackson, previously pleaded guilty in the case. He was accused of providing the car used to transport the girls. Jackson was sentenced to five years in prison.

Another co-conspirator also pleaded guilty in the case. Thomas Jarrett Barraza was accused of driving the victims to an Austin-area hotel. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 12.
