Security camera captures three suspects shooting dozens of times into Red Oak home

Neighbors and the family who live at the residence believe the suspects shot the wrong house because a home across the street was shot up weeks ago.

RED OAK, Texas — Police in Red Oak need the public's help identifying three suspects who were captured on a security camera firing dozens of times into a home off of Ivy Court just minutes before 8 AM on Monday.

In the video, you can see a white 2018 Hyundai Elantra pull up to a cul-de-sac, per investigators, and then three suspects wearing dark clothing get out with guns.

All three fire their weapons toward a home in the cul-de-sac, then get back in the vehicle and speed away.

Two women were inside the home at the time, along with an infant child. They didn't want to speak to WFAA for safety reasons but shared the video with hopes of catching the suspects who terrorized their neighborhood.

One of the women was in her bed and said bullets whizzed through her window and by her face. Both women said they were starting to get up for the morning when the gunfire erupted and hit the floor in terror.

Two young children also live at the residence but were thankfully already at school when the shooting happened.

Remarkably, no one was hurt despite the home being riddled with lead.

Neighbors along the street believe that the suspects likely shot at the wrong house. A home directly across from the residence that was targeted was shot up more than a month ago they say, and no one lives there anymore.

A renter living at the home moved out after the incident.

"These guys got the wrong house and put everybody's lives in danger," a neighbor named Nicole told WFAA.

Nicole heard the gunshots and said she tried following the suspects in her vehicle.

"Whoever they were looking for--it wasn't the right house and they no longer live on this street anymore. This was unnecessary and not what we want in our neighborhood. Thankfully--God was watching over all of us in this situation."
