Deputies release surveillance image of pickup truck involved in Dallas hit-and-run

DALLAS — The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver who struck a man and never stopped.

At about 4:52 a.m. on Nov. 3, deputies were called to a traffic incident at northbound I-35 at 8th St. When deputies arrived, they found a victim of a hit-and-run accident. 

The department said the victim’s vehicle was disabled in the right lane and the victim was outside his vehicle when he was struck by possibly a green Ford F-150 that will have damage to the passenger side mirror. 

Deputies said in a news release that the victim had not been positively identified yet.

The department released a grainy surveillance image of the pickup truck.

They're asking anyone who has information about the accident or has dash video from the area between 4:45 a.m. and 5 a.m. to contact the Vehicle Crimes Unit at vcu@dallascounty.org or call Detective Hernandez at 214-589-2343.
