SEAGOVILLE, Texas — A man died after he was shot in a community park, Seagoville police said.
Officers responded to a shooting around 5:50 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2 in the 600 block of Fountain Drive, the Seagoville Police Department said in a press release. Police found an adult male with a gunshot wound sitting at a gazebo in the park, the release stated.
Medics took the victim to the hospital where he later died, police said.
Witnesses told police they saw the victim and suspect sitting in a blue Hyundai, heard gunshots, then observed the victim run to the gazebo and the male suspect run from the park and down the street, the release stated.
Police did not immediately release the identity of the victim.
