SANSOM PARK, Texas — The Sansom Park Police Department has located a 2-year-old girl who they saw was forcibly kidnapped by her grandmother on Thursday evening.
Police were called at about 5 p.m. to a non-custodial kidnapping off Arrow Lane.
The suspect is Lawanda Cain, who police say was last seen driving a black BMW X1 with the Texas license plate No. TYK-8553. Police say she may also be in the company of four other women.
Around 8:45 p.m. Sansom Park announced the little girl was found safe. The department said the investigation is ongoing.
