RICHARDSON, Texas — A North Texas jury found an 80-year-old man from Richardson guilty of sexually abusing a 7-year-old girl, officials say.
George Kenneth Orton, Jr. was charged in January and indicted the next month. After two-and-a-half days in court, Orton was found guilty on two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Officials say evidence presented in court, a relative of the victim reported to police that Orton had sexually exploited the child about three years after it took place. Agents also testified recovering a USB drive containing child sex abuse material at Orton's home.
Orton faces up to 60 years in federal prison and is expected to be sentenced in February.
