Police seek suspect in North Dallas sexual assault

Police are seeking a suspect in a sexual assault Monday night in Far North Dallas. Police released this map of the location of the sexual assault (red dot, lower left) and an earlier suspicious person call matching the sex assault suspect's description (red dot, top right).

DALLAS – Police are seeking a suspect in a sexual assault Monday night in Far North Dallas.

Between 9:40 p.m. and 10 p.m. Monday, a black man wearing a black hoodie entered a woman's apartment in the area of Frankford Road and Kelly Boulevard and sexually assaulted her.

Prior to the assault, Dallas police received a suspicious person call in the area of Marsh Lane and the President George Bush Tollway at about 8:55 p.m. The person was looking into apartment windows and was also wearing a black hoodie, but the caller could not determine the suspect's race.

The suspect in the sexual assault is described as 20-to-30 years old, was between 5-foot-8 and 6-foot-2, and had a thin build and facial hair that gave a "scruffy" appearance.
