Both women and men were forced to work for multiple programming shell companies owned by a North Texas couple, police say

PRINCETON, Texas — Police issued arrest warrants for four people after they discovered a human/labor trafficking operation operating out of a home in North Texas, according to a news release.

Officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Ginsburg Lane in Princeton in Collin County around 3 p.m. March 13 to conduct a welfare check, police say. Police got a search warrant for the home of Santhosh Katkoori, 31, and found 15 women who investigators determined were forced to work for Katkoori and multiple shell companies owned by him and his wife, Dwaraka Gunda, 31, according to a press release.

Officers seized laptops, cell phones, printers, and fraudulent documents from the home and it was later determined multiple locations in Princeton, Melissa and McKinney were involved in the forced labor operation, which included both women and men, police say.

After an investigation of the electronics and other details, arrest warrants were issued for Katkoori, Gunda, Chandan Dasireddy, 24, of Melissa, and Anil Male, 37, of Prosper, for trafficking of persons, which is a second-degree felony, according to police.

Police say more charges could be forthcoming as the investigation continues.

Anyone with any details about the case or who is a victim of human/labor trafficking is asked to call the Princeton Police Department at 972-736-3901 or call 911.
