PLANO, Texas — Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon after police say they kidnapped a woman and her 4-year-old child and stabbed a man who tried stopping them in the process.
The Plano Police Department said in a Facebook post that officers were dispatched at approximately 4:15 p.m. Thursday to the 2400 block of W. Spring Creek Parkway for a stabbing and kidnapping call. When officers got there, they found out two men had kidnapped a woman "known to them" and her 4-year-old child during a "domestic violence encounter," police said.
Two other men witnessed the kidnapping taking place, tried to stop them and one of them was stabbed, police said. The woman and child were forced into a black Mazda 6, police said, and officers pursued them and arrested the suspects in the 400 block of Hollywood Avenue.
They were identified by police as 23-year-old's Raul Puente and Ivan Puente-Ledezma. Raul Puente will be charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, according to Plano police. Ivan Puente-Ledezma will be charged with Aggravated Kidnapping, police said.
