MESQUITE, Texas — One person was shot and injured outside of an elementary school in Mesquite, police confirmed.
According to the Mesquite Police Department, one person was shot outside of Pirrung Elementary School. Mesquite PD did not provide any health updates on the victim.
School was not in session at the time of the shooting, according to Mesquite ISD. The district confirmed that all schools are out for Thanksgiving break.
