FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police say they’re investigating "an officer-involved shooting" that happened Saturday afternoon.
Officials told WFAA that the incident happened at around 3:45 p.m.
On social media, police said the "officer-involved shooting” happened after they were called to a burglary-in-progress near the intersection of Legacy Drive and Lakehill Boulevard and found an armed suspect.
“This is an isolated incident, and no threat to the public exists,” Frisco police said in a news release.
Frisco officials confirmed with WFAA that none of their officers were injured.
The Texas Department of Public Safety said in a news release that 42-year-old Donavan Favors had opened fire on officers and that officers returned fire. Favors was killed in the incident.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident.
