Mesquite man charged with murder after stabbing his wife, police say

According to court records, the man is being held on a $1.5 million bond.

MESQUITE, Texas — The Mesquite Police Department said 55-year-old Jody Fox was arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing his wife on Monday, June 24. 

According to police, officers responded to the report of a stabbing in the 500 block of Sesame Drive around 8:55 p.m. that day. 

Police said officers arrived to the scene and contacted Fox at the front door of the home. 

According to police, additional officers entered the home and inside they found Fox's wife, 46-year-old Amy Fox, dead in the living room. She reportedly had multiple knife wounds, police said. 

Following the investigation, police said Jody Fox was arrested and charged with murder, a first-degree felony. 

According to court records, the man is currently being held in the North Tower Jail on a $1.5 million bond.
