MCKINNEY, Texas — McKinney police arrested a man on Christmas Day and charged him with capital murder after a woman was found dead in his apartment, according to a press release from the department.
Police were called about a welfare concern at an apartment in the 5200 block of Collin McKinney Parkway, police said. The caller, a relative of the victim, said they couldn't get in touch with Nawreen Tuli and told police there was a history of domestic violence at the apartment.
Officers contacted the suspect, Nasib Ahsan, who told them that the Tuli was sleeping inside.
Police performed a protective sweep of the residence and found the victim lying dead on the bed, police said.
An autopsy confirmed Tuli was pregnant at the time, according to McKinney PD
Officials say Ahsan is currently in the Collin County Jail.
