MANSFIELD, Texas — The Mansfield Police Department has arrested three people for allegedly stealing $10,000 worth of merchandise from various stores across North Texas.

On Sept. 26, Mansfield officers responded to reports of a shoplift in progress at the Market Street grocery store located at 3145 E. Broad St.

Police say a witness said they saw a woman placing stolen items inside her skirt. Before officers arrived, the witness said the woman took off in a black Honda Odyssey with two other men. Mansfield PD said responding officers pulled the vehicle over near the intersection of US 287 and E. Broad St.

The people inside the vehicle matched the description of the suspects in the theft that just occurred at Market Street, Mansfield PD said. Officers also discovered several trash bags in the vehicle with hundreds of items identical to those stolen from Market Street.

The stolen items included:

  • circuit breakers
  • champagne bottles
  • perfumes/body sprays
  • laundry detergent
  • toothbrushes
  • clothes
  • soaps/shampoos
  • running shoes
