MANSFIELD, Texas — Police say they’re looking for leads after a man was shot and killed Thursday in Mansfield.
Officials say officers were called shortly after 4:30 p.m. to the 800 block of Cutting Horse Drive, where they found a man with a gunshot wound. Police say the suspect(s) fled the scene before officers arrived.
“As officers approached, citizens were performing CPR. Mansfield Fire Department Medics arrived and continued life-saving measures,” police said in a statement.
The man was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the man after next of kin is notified.
Police are still investigating the shooting and are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call Mansfield Police at 817-473-0211.
