LANCASTER, Texas — A man was injured in a drive-by shooting while he was walking in the 100 block of W. Wintergreen Road in Lancaster Monday, police say.
Police say they were called to the 100 block of W. Wintergreen Road and found a man in the 2700 block of N. Dallas Avenue who’d been shot once in the leg.
The man told police he was walking when someone in a newer model sedan drove by and shot him, according to a statement from Lancaster police.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they didn’t find a vehicle matching the man’s description in the area.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Those with any information about the shooting are asked to contact the Lancaster Police Department.
