PLANO -- A 43-year-old man was indicted for five counts of improper photography last Friday after police say he was caught taking photos up women's skirts in April.
Plano police spokesman Ofc. David Tilley said a shopper spotted Fermin Morales-Gonzalez taking 'upskirt' photos at a store in April and flagged down a passing police car. A search of Morales-Gonzalez's phone found 'numerous' improper photos taken of shoppers in drug stores, convenience stores, and department stores.
The man was charged with only five counts of improper photography, a state jail felony, because Plano police were only able to connect five of the photos to stores in the city. Those stores included two Wal-Mart locations, a Walgreens, a Kroger, and a 7-Eleven.
Morales-Gonzalez is being held on an immigration detainer, so he will remain in custody.
Tilley said residents should be aware of their surroundings at all times to prevent becoming victims of a similar crime themselves.
