Man arrested for possession, promotion of child pornography in North Texas

Police received a tip about multiple pictures and videos of possible child pornography coming from an IP address in the city.

ROCKWALL, Texas — Police arrested Jason Neal Frankenfield and charged him with two counts of possession or promotion of child pornography in Rockwall.

According to police, on June 19, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children sent a tip to the Rockwall Police Department about multiple pictures and videos of possible child pornography being sent from an IP address within the city.

Police say detectives opened an investigation and found probable cause to believe that multiple child pornography items had been sent electronically through an online communications app from Frankenfield's IP address.

According to police, detectives were able to determine the IP address was located at a house in the 2600 block of Desert Falls Drive in Rockwall.

On June 28, police say detectives executed a search warrant and were able to determine Frankenfield was involved with the possession or promotion of child pornography, which resulted in his arrest.

According to police, Frankenfield was taken to the Rockwall County Jail and charged with two counts of the second-degree felony.

Rockwall PD says it doesn't believe any of the images were of victims in Rockwall.
