IRVING, Texas — The Irving Police Department arrested 41-year-old Keevis Holland for aggravated assault of a peace officer on July 2.
According to police, on June 1, officers responded to the Walmart at 4100 W. Airport Fwy at about 12:31 p.m. to an assist officer call.
Police say an Ore Police Officer was working off-duty at the location while wearing his fully-marked police uniform.
According to police, Loss Prevention employees reportedly saw Holland taking photos of women underneath their dresses in the store.
Police say the Ore officer attempted to detain Holland in handcuffs for suspicion of invasive visual recording. However, after the officer placed a handcuff on Holland's left wrist, he began repeatedly hitting the officer's face with closed fists.
According to police, the loose handcuff caused a laceration on the top of the officer's head.
Police say the officer then fell to the ground and dropped his taser. Holland saw this, picked up the taser and pointed it at the officer, police say.
According to police, the officer felt fear of serious bodily injury or death due to the potential for Holland to incapacitate him with the taser and take his gun.
The officer then reportedly chased Holland into the parking lot and saw him get into a gray Dodge Ram, which was registered in his name, police say.
According to police, the assault was captured on video and Holland was arrested and booked in the Kays Tower Jail on the following day. His bond is set at $50,000.
Court documents revealed that this isn't Holland's first time being accused of invasive visual recording as he entered a plea agreement in April of 2017 for the same crime.
According to court documents, an asset protection officer for Walmart saw Holland, on a store surveillance camera, recording and taking photos of customers underneath their skirts with out their consent. The officer was able to identify Holland from previous incidents, an arrest affidavit states.
