DENTON, Texas — A man was arrested after video reportedly taken at King Pup Grooming in Denton shared on social media sparked an investigation into allegations of animal abuse at the pet grooming business, police said.
Clennon King, 34, was arrested on a complaint of cruelty to non-livestock animal in connection with the April 2023 video, according to police. Police said King turned himself in early Jan. 16.
Police said they received “several” calls about the video, reportedly taken at the business in the 200 block of Woodrow Lane, and began investigating the incident. The video, allegedly taken at the pet groomer, shows someone lifting a dog by its neck and head.
WFAA reached out to the business and found the phone line disconnected and the website down.
