LITTLE ELM, Texas — Police in Little Elm say two teens are now facing murder charges for the shooting death of a 19-year-old.
According to police, officers responded to a shooting call at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, in the 1600 block of Knight Trail. The victim, later identified as David Noel Pleasant, was then taken to a hospital.
Little Elm police shared an update the next day saying that Pleasant died from his injuries that morning.
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old - both from Collin County - have been arrested and were originally charged with aggravated assault, according to police. On Tuesday, police released their names, Alec Adamson and Mason Schiller, both of Prosper.
They say the charges have since been upgraded to murder. Adamson and Schiller were being held in custody with their bonds set at $1 million.
"Out of respect for the victim's family, we ask the public to refrain from further inquires," police shared on social media. "No additional information will be released at this time as this investigation is still ongoing."
