GRAPEVINE, Texas — A former Lewisville Independent School District high school teacher was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a child and having an improper relationship with a student, police said.
Alainee Simonson was arrested Friday, Dec. 13 by Grapevine police, the department said in a press release. She is accused of committing the crimes in 2022 and 2023 while she was a teacher for the Lewisville Independent School District, the release states.
The victim was a student at Killough High School, police said. Lewisville ISD confirmed Simonson was hired Aug 2, 2022, and resigned Feb 17, 2023. She only worked at Killough High School, the district said.
Grapevine police are continuing to investigate the incident with school officials, the release states. Police don't believe there are any additional victims.
