WYLIE, Texas — A Kentucky man was arrested after sexually assaulting a resident at an assisted living facility, according to the Wylie Police Department.

Wylie PD said 58-year-old Dudley Hammond was caught on camera engaging in a sexual act with a resident at the Garnett Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care facility at 1420 McCreary Road. According to police, a family member of someone living at the facility set up surveillance in the room, and when they reviewed the footage, they saw an unknown man sexually assaulting the family member's roommate.

Police said they received a call from Garnett Hill staff, reporting the incident, and the family moved the victim from the facility immediately. Police said they were able to identify Hammond, who lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and told staff to call police if he returned to the facility.

Detectives learned Hammond would be returning to the facility and arrested and charged him with indecent assault on Wednesday at about 11 a.m., police said. After speaking with Hammond, Wylie PD said an additional charge of aggravated sexual assault was filed.
